Yet they’ve spent 10 mil buying the name back?

Wont be long and it will all be WS rebranded, they’ve been pulling trailers for each other for a good while too so either as I predicted last year William will drag it back too glory, ooor as above, amalgamation.

Had my first spot of a Stobbs pulling a Morrisons earlier, aesthetics wise it’s not a good look [emoji38][emoji38]

But Morrisons are Northern, so are the Stobarts so in a way is it a bad thing uk company’s are sticking together, after all everything else with even so much as a finger of interest in it from other sources is either crumbling, collapsed, ■■■■ poor or at huge determination to our own jobs so I say ‘maybe’ it’s no bad thing they’ve teamed up…

As for the accounting…[emoji38]

Never happen bennie, the Eddie name will never disappear, to many spotters would have a heart attack

Least William Stobart could run a ■■■■ up in a brewery. Eddie is a pale imitation of what it was under him & Tinker.

Maritime is the new national haulier to be proud of. John Williams is a Legend, knows his beans & all the kit is Cheddar.

I’m pretty sure me dad met him, he did a shameful stint too lol but in fairness I remember him saying he was a solid bloke, you knew where you stood, but you got paid, good tackle, and yep there were some good perks too lol.

He sadly just weren’t built for the corporate life, but I’m sure he managed a couple years under them before he went back to his roots for a bit till he finally gave up the artic life an went onto a cushty rigid job for his last few years.

Such a shame it became a rate race reputation for stobart, yes they crush others BUT that’s the world, and they provide jobs, and in fairness support our ex forces folk with regards to providing them with a chance to get some normal back into their lives, which to me is a very good thing.

Is it they’re fault everyone wants cheap, no.
But untill a permanent lines drawn as regards to consumerism/cost and the whole industry, including drivers say enoughs enough then sadly it won’t change for the over all ‘greater good’.

As said before I’ve no complaints with stobby at all, well minus a snotty planner and shocking driver facilities at my depot, ooh an [zb] cab hopping [emoji22]
Score on the door 7/10.

Lol Maritime, the total baxtards gave me a job, a start date, then a week before, crushed me out with covid [emoji24]
Not their fault, but I’ve heard they are ruthless, perk of being asset rich which again if we’re honest from a business aspect is the only way to be, sadly from a staff one, well.

But yeah I’d like to hope the letters I received may still hold some weight one day, least I got in which I’m proud of if nowt else, plus I passed all the bridge assessment torturing, and I never once scuffed a kerb which considering I’d never pulled a box before, or one of their run away trailers, I’ll take that medal of honour, minus parking but meh, I blame the auto brake [emoji38]

But I have to say, from what I was lucky enough to get from it with them, fair play.
As you say boss, solid gear, very good facilities especially at the HQ, all the drivers/staff I met were sound… (well to me face [emoji16])… it be a good steady wage an as a bonus nice an local so I could have still supported those who I care about and need me.

Best bit for me was the chance to learn though, from blokes who knew it, outside of my heavy haulage goals I’d have been happy(I won’t mention the cameras though as we know hell will break loose[emoji38]).
Score on the door, 8.5/10.

End of day we’re all here to earn, it’s sad the world’s the way it is but in my case at least when no other ‘independent’, ‘specialist’ , or ‘quality firms’ well anyone tbh lol will let you past a door what the hell are new lads supposed to do to get going, at least the two above will, but then we become seen as one of the ‘rats’ or ‘muppets’ who fuel the wage arguments, downfall of standards, the moon going flat…

Yet the pipers playing that tune don’t seem too interested in offering us owt different, or letting us have a pap on they’re pipe, so whatta ya do? [emoji57]

I think between me, you and bt3 we should run a book on how it’ll pan out for stobart, but for BT3 atleast I sense he gonna be p1553d if stobbys go as I know he’s still itching to lift my stobby skirt one day… [emoji8][emoji16]
