Ok guys, i’ve read all the posts, the comments about me being a bighead, a queer, a knob etc, its water off a ducks back. What i want to clarify is the train, “he’s stuck on the kerb, he’s hit the train” garbage. Like many of you lads on here i use the train alot over the years, when you have a camera crew filming you your whole attitude changes, i felt very uncomfortable being filmed and miked up for 36 hours. I drove onto the train and cut in a fraction early, looking in the mirror i thought christ i’m a bit close to the kerb so i got out to make sure i had enough room, being dark a 2" gap becomes invisible, and there was no way was i gonna scrape the trailer on bloody national tv, all was well so carried on. Nerves i suppose. Good old channel five hyped it up for a bit of drama and it worked! My co driver is a bloody natural with a camera stuck in his face, i’m not!
Having driven racecar transporters, you do take extra care and you are more likely to get out and have a look or take another shunt at a manourve. Presantation is a big part of the job and in a paddock of immaculate trucks, a truck with a scratch stands out like a sore thumb.
And I’m sure when you add a camera crew into the equation then it gets even worse. Bit like the old thing of why do you always muck up getting onto a bay when loads of other drivers are watching, but when’s nobody’s around it always easy.
Having seen the pics of Fiona in the sport i think there may be a recipt from Scania for 2 new airbags tucked away in her knicker draw

at best she was nieve doing photoes ,videos,although what you do in the privacy of your home is your buisness,no one elses.
