That bird has worked there for 2 years but doesnt have to stay out like the rest of em? Bet she gets mon to fri to :unamused: and she is annoying and plays the women card well.

She is on Day work not a tramper like plenty of other male stobart drivers that dont have nights out :open_mouth:

Ok, fair enough prove it. I have never come across a day driver, nor has anyone on here who works for them said there is such a thing(not that I have seen I am not saying I am right but it is my take on it before anyone moans. Their work is tramping "from what I know on here and their own website and someone who I knew that worked for them for a year.
I didnt like it or her and the fact she really plays the woman thing if she wants to be an equal she should get out there for the week and do the job like the rest have to. Can see the postives that others have pointed out and agree with some of them. However I still think its gash

Well Ollie on the first programme they said one of the the drivers only did days not night’s out so that proves it doesnt it.

I didnt see that bit :unamused:
As I said from what I read on here and someone I know who was dss driver for em unless its casual they only take on trampers. I dont care anyway I dont, nor will I ever work there
Thought that young lad was quite nice, thought he would be a bit of a stobbie geek when I first saw him but came across very good lad. The bird wasnt that bad really, if I had never seen trucking in the flesh I would probably enjoy the show more. I havent got anything against ES or their drivers but we are allowed an opinion and to take it apart if we want to. I will praise the good as well as the bad I see if it warrants it.

Nothing wrong with anybody wanting a social life in the evening, rather than settling down in a tin box on an industrial estate…

Crap it may be but hey .

Do you see us complaining if you ■■■■ in your bathroom ■■ (someone will , i just guess theyre going to  ).

How can one form an opinion and disect the good bits and not so good bits without 1st watching something or 1st hand experience
so i did , and laughed  , yet at the same time, i was some what impressed.

I wonder if “Peter” will be watching the re-runs on demand TV to see where some of the odd flaws lay and where little improvements could be made
Perhaps having the driver sort out headlight defects for safety - (and pg9 avoidance) before travelling on road at night time could be one of them  - series 2 45 mins in .
A more effective " returns " storage location placement/ handling system for eg.
just 2 mere observations spotted by an outsider.

I hope all those thousands of gallons of water a day washing vehicles, goes back through a recycling system within the wash areas, and NOT straight down the drain into the sewers and nearby brookes. That wouldnt be enviromentally friendly if it wasnt.

32 years ive been in the transport industry and have seen many a firm go under due to undercuts and competitive pricing + non payers, etc etc,
its a dog eat dog world industry , always has been and always likely to be tbh.
Personal choice . Enjoy it while you can

The light was working earlier in the show, so it probably went whilst at delivery point, not much you can do about that

They are in most truck wash’s, so can’t see why the water wouldn’t be recycled.

And most good tanker washes use recycled water, several times! Those that don’t have all but gone out of business

Well at least i have found out what the Stobart Tankers are really for. :exclamation:
They are used to collect all the bullsh-t from their depots around the country.

The spotters are real sad and I mean SAD [zb]! But each to their own.
Other then that, it is so dramatised its ridiculous it is nothing like real life for a tramper on general.
Verdict is crap program. But I will watch it anyway as I like a moan :stuck_out_tongue:

no idea how long shes worked there but in all that time shes been on NIGHTS,she has only just moved onto days[as have a few night shift drivers[blokes],so to say she got prefferential treatment isnt true.
our depot has 200 ish drivers so im told and out of those id say there is only 10% at best who tramp[they asked for it.
the rest of us which includes me,fiona and the other 90% only do nights out if we run out of hours, driving time ,so again i fail to see how she gets preferential treatment,if she runs out of hours she spends the night in the truck like the rest of us.
mon-fri,not sure what she works, but they were asking for tues-sat driver to swap over to mon-fri,so if she was tues-sat she could put in for it like the rest, again i cant see she gets preferental treatment.
drivers are drivers, they always think someones getting something there not,
it may seem im standing up for here but im just dealing in facts, or what i see, other than shes aloud to wear PINK hair bands, laces and im not    i think we all get treated pretty much the same

are you getting confused with general, there mainly trampers a.f.a.i.k,odd day night driver.
chillside which fiona works on is 90%+ ,day /night drivers, with a sprinkling of trampers

Can’t belive some of the crap people are posting on here if you do not like a certain programme don’t watch it .

It really is that simple and as for the drivers like top gun you find one on every transport firm anywhere not just esl. You could work for a lot worse how many companys would help out after someone dies not bloody many.

I happened to have a week off once during which a family members funeral was held. Word of this got back to management and on return, was told I wasn’t to use holiday for a funeral, they’d booked it as bereavement leave and had the holiday “given back”.
