Afternoon all!
I passed my class one (woo hoo!!) and signed up to a couple of agencies with not much luck as I have no blooming experience
However, one particular agency brought me in for an interview and had a written test for Eddie Stobart’s new Widnes depot. I passed the assessment and now I have a driving day at 4am tomorrow (saturday). They said it is full days paid work. Question is, what do I expect when I get there? Has anyone else experienced this? Did you pass? Is someone with you for the day or do they just leave you to it??
Thank in advance, Neil.

Hi Neil,
A read of this topic might be of some interest to you:

I hope it helps and good luck on your assessment.
lol thanks Dave, doesn’t explain why Widnes stinks though ha ha!
i pass over the runcorn bridge every nite and the smell is absolutely disgusting…only once you get to the widness side though, and that bloody mound of scrap metal with a st.georges flag on the top should be got rid off.its a blot on the landscape.

Agreed mate!!
I’ve heard tell that they’re planning another bridge in addition to the first one.
A quick ‘google’ got me this:
The Mersey Gateway Project is a major project to build a new toll bridge over the Mersey between the towns of Runcorn and Widnes.
That news came from here:
