If my truck & Trailer combo has both ABS & EBS connections, do they BOTH HAVE to be connected?

You wont have both, it’s either ABS or EBS.
You just need to connect all the leads from the unit to the trailer. The ABS/EBS difference is only on the trailer, ABS will have a green light at the front EBS doesn’t.
Confused. I have a new mercedes actros that has 2 leads, 1 Is the ABS and the other is a lead that looks identical? I’m told that this other 1 is an EBS lead?? I also pull a brand new chereau fridge trailer that has connections for both of these leads?
As they are both new, they won’t be ABS - that’s so last year darling 
Are you sure one isn’t a 15 pin multi lead (the old 24n/24s) and the other is the EBS lead? If your truck has leads and your trailer has places for them to go, why would you not plug them in?
