Google Maps is updated continuously - the road data is pretty much as good as it gets using commercially available sources. The photographs (satellite views and even more so street level) are updated much, much less frequently.

Updates are released via the mapping manufactures betwwen 1.5 and 3 years .The last update was
released inJan 2013 not add a email to tell me new one released .
