Easy driving job

have you got it or had it my mates just got a job with local council driving road sweeper
7 hour shift 5 day week

Driving the bin wagons for the council was the easiest driving job I ever had.

Driving from Lincoln to Erith in London. Aside from Erith and the Dartford crossing it was the easiest job I’ve done in my short career. It was fun too.

Fridge work or mostly what I am doing now easy

Bury St Edmunds to Athens, (including a 24hr ferry from Italy)tip, load Prato (Italy) for Blyth nr Newcastle, home for 3 days then off again.
Brand new motor and trailer (never had more than 6 ton in the trailer in all the time i was doing the job)

After my day so far - this would be ideal. Let me know if you’re packing in!

best ever was working at Manchester airport on day work muckaway when building new works
compound start 7 am 2 or 3 loads to tip up the road finished 11 30 am payed for 9

Easiest job I’ve had was working for a truck hire firm, it consisted of waiting for the wagon to be ready, delivering it, waiting for the hire car to show up, driving back and waiting to see if anything else needs to go back or get collected. The process was repeated between 1 and 3 times a day.
Long hours though, between 10 and 15.

I worked for New Wave Logistics, based at an electronics manufacturing site. When a new product was developed, part of the testing process was a 1000km travel test - basically build 100 microwaves, load them onto a truck, and drive them around…then check to see if they have fallen to bits. I would do roughly 500 kms on days, and the night man would do the same. I could go where I liked, as long as I mixed it up a bit, rural, urban, motorway. The lake district was always a favourite, or maybe the Scottish borders. Not a bad way to earn a living…

how long did you do that job cushie or what

Who pays £600 a week for a part time job?

Not sure now but working for mainstream builders merchants (Jewson, Travis Perkins etc) used to be a doddle, poor pay but once the drops were done ( 4 in morning and 4 in afternoon, all local ) used to spend the rest of the day sleeping or going shopping etc.
