The way I see it is that we do not need the speed limits adjusting, why ■■
Current scenario:
I can do 40mph legally on B roads, unclassified road and A roads, where is the sense in this ? Some A roads are dangerous to even do 40 on let alone the country lanes, then compare this to being able to do 40 on a main trunk A road, there is no sense in the system we currently have.
IMHO we need some of these suitable A roads re-classifying to maybe AA roads, on such roads trucks can do 50 etc, so not an adjustment to speed limits for trucks but a reclassicification of those obvious suitable routes.

I like doing 40 when I have to. I like doing 30,50 and 56 too,where I have to or where I can.
For me it’s all about variety. I’d get even more bored if I had to drive
at the same speed all day. At 40 you can see a lot more of your surroundings,take in the
sometimes great views and relax a bit, until the next motorway.
Think i’ll start a counter=petition to keep it 40! 
It’s far more relaxing driving at 40 , you just need to get used to it and tell them in the office that is the law when they want you to go above and beyond, just chill out, relax and enjoy it, most a roads are the scenic route and when in a lorry you see a lot more than in a car over the hedges and across the fields , I once saw 3 American stealth bombers lined up on an a disused air field here in Wales once , only noticed because I was taking my time, just enjoy it.
