My early memories of Parks was way back in 1960’s as a kid, one of there trucks was involved in a accident on the cross roads at Thorpe Hesley Nr Rotherham on the A629, the truck over turned there scattering spuds all over, close to the cross roads was a council estate it didn’t take long for the clear up as everyone came with barrows, buckets & bags, from that day to this every time i see one, the memory comes back. can any of the old drivers remember this, Cheers Mel
Scania 113 - I remember your dad, couldn’t recall his name, he may remember me by face. Talked to him a time or two, wore a cap most of time, very calm & pleasant chap . Drove a secondhand Scania R113 360 tag after the DAF, reg F92 SVW, with a number of other arrivals including - F272 & F274 BOC, 6x2 tag, G612 FRN - 6x2 twinsteer ex Munro at Skem, and interestingly a Renault G290 at bargain price. Reg’d J1 GEP, the 4x2 tractor was sent for mid axle conversion and used on a variety of work. A pair of R143.400’s were K414 & K415 FEE, both 6x2 tag’s. K412 EEH (360 Streamline) came secondhand, again 6x2 tag, and Parks placed an order for a brand new identical R113 Streamline in 1995 (N569 VDB)
Here are a few of my pictures
If you are interested in any more then let me know. Would be interested to see your model.
Just found this of one of the newer Scania’s.

Yep Carl, I’ll remember thEm for sure . One of the B series tractor units - had its original cab changed after an accident, the cab from ERF ‘UNE’ was used. After a time the chassis from this truck was fitted with a flat roof sleeper cab and allocated the reg. Q276 RCA
