I was loading at a customer’s premises this week and I saw a notice saying “The use of e-cigarettes in company vehicles is prohibited as they may pose a fire risk if not turned off properly” and I thought “Well, you learn something new every day” 
I have started to smoke blank pencils…No signs anywhere about them and they are always good for a joke…As in no led in your pencil

I really hope this is a wind up.
But just incase it isn’t … we all need to turn the H&S demons rules against them. If there is any danger that H&S might be breached then we must refuse to do the work eg “ive not been trained by health and safety dept to operate a pump truck, ive not been trained how to boil a kettle, so im downing tools for several hours until ive been trained”.
ffs H&S drives me bananas. When they realise that H&S makes the job cost double, then those in charge might turn their eyes towards the H&S robots and think “hmmm I could save a ■■■■ ton by sacking these ■■■■■”
H&S hide in a corner and justify their wage packet by making everyone elses life needlessly complicated. Whatever happened to common sense?

Didn’t the entire M6 toll road get closed because someone on a coach was smoking an e-cig? and someone else on the coach saw the smoke and the colour of the gentleman smoking the ecig and his rucksack and put 2 and 2 and 2 together and got 100?
A whole motorway got closed down. Armed police were called out.

If health and safety were completely removed more 10 years there would be need to reinstate it as those daft enough to get injured would be invalided out of the workplace. Natural selection at work.

It’s just another excuse to not let drivers ‘smoke’ at work.
I don’t smoke, I did until about 5 years ago. I think people who critisise smokers should mind their own and shut up, they have a choice to smoke or not. Electronic ciggies are far less dangerous than regular ■■■■ as they don’t actually have a flame or heat to smoke them.
There is nothing worse than an ex smoker trying to dictate to smokers what they should and shouldn’t do.
You will find spoil sports and miserable gits everywhere.

This is simply not true.
it is in some designs.
Some require a button pressing to activate the heating element whilst others are activated simply by drawing on them.
The former are inactive when the button is not depressed, I am not sure about the latter but would imagine that the battery would be flat in no time if they were active all the time.
In addition the ones with the button have a facility to press the button 5 times which turns the e-cig off altogether, another 5 presses turns it on again.
