I went into work last night and got to say it is getting better and am loving it.
Started off with a 7.5T on my first night, followed by a 15T on my second night and now I feel for the first time ever, i just made use of my class 2 licence last night.
Manager asked me if I wanted some1 to go with or if am okay to do the night on my own, as am gonna do two routes I never been b4. I said am happy to try on my own couze u can’t have them baby sitting me all the time, I just need to know where and what and how to do when I get there so the other drivers can just get on with their drops. And if anything… I will ring the office straight away.
Keys to an 18T given to me and off I bugger. Everything ok and am ready to roll. Completed all my drops for the night without a fuss and in plenty of time compared to yesterday. I was even the second to get back to the depot after the last round 
“U doing well son” that was what got out of a smiley managers face.
Coffee while waiting for everyone to get back so it can be day over… which eventually did.
Things are just getting better by the way I see it. Thank god I chose to be a driver… 
Well done, you seem to be doing a good job, never easy learning everything involved with driving a truck for a living but the right attitude always helps a lot. Keeps us informed how it goes, i’m sure all new drivers on here will find it interesting.
Sounds like you went the right route going with a company. Go agency and get a pair of keys and a set of load sheets thrust at ya.

Yes buddy. I use to work on the floor which was ■■■■■■■■, busy floor and shait supervisors screaming at ya when all they do is stand with their hands in pockets. 
Decided to silently do my class 2 without telling no 1. Told my manager after I passed and waiting for my licence back to do cpc mod 4. I had about 4 other places on my door knocking list ( just in case my manager said no to me driving, which is not the case no more) which I knew 3 of them would give me a green light.
I never really was gonna go the agency way. U just never know where u get sent to. It might be a good agency send u to a shait place or a shait agency send u to a shait place. U can only feel blessed if u join a good agency and get sent to a good place with understanding people, which in my case does not apply as am kinda sorted
Sounds like you’re getting on grand there mate. A good, positive attitude goes a long way. Keep the updates coming as it’s inspiration for those of us yet to land that first drive
