DVLA Timescales

Hi,

They tell you to get your tacho, DQC cards taken anything upto 3 weeks to receive however is it actually usually 3-5 days or is it longer than that? Other companies have maximum timescales they have to quote however in practise its much sooner if you live in the city and mail doesn’t get misplaced. How long did it take you to get your cards?

Thx.

Driving license and CPC card = 20 days
Tachocard = 7 days

Tacho inside of a week. Licence and CPC card week and a half.

Honestly it’s Completely random so don’t stress about.
When I passed my car test it took like a week
Bike test 2 weeks
Cat c under a week
C and e almost a month

Maybe it depends on what time of the year you take it and if they are busy.
Maybe they take a small sample to do more stringent checks idk
Not worth worrying about you will get it soon enough
Don’t think it makes a difference if you live in a city though.

Its like a lot of companies they say it will take 3 weeks but usually it’s in 3 days at times. The guy at the DVLA office said you have missed the last batch of scanning in date on November 10th so it looks like they have specific dates throughout the month they scan items on to process if you miss that date it gets moved on to the next one.

I got my Tacho card in 3 working days (they tell you upto 3 weeks) from sending it through recorded delivery.

I got my drivers licence upgraded with hgv category within 4 working days (they tell you upto 2 weeks) sent by recorded delivery.
