Dont know if it’s been posted but…
DVLA have extended the pass code time from 72 hrs to 21 days the code your given however can only be used once.
This extension has been given because of drivers getting car hire after leaving the UK but not taking the hire until later in the vacation.

As a matter of interest has anybody here had to show their counterpart in the past when hiring a vehicle whilst abroad? Not saying it doesn’t happen, but I’ve certainly never had to.
Maybe I should choose more upmarket destinations in future!

They didn’t even other looking at mine in Africa
When I offered my paper counterpart in America a couple of years ago the girl behind the desk said, “I don’t even know what that is!”
I just hired a car in Scotland last week, I checked their T&Cs, and they still said bring your paper counterpart. So I did. I was promptly asked where my pass code was, I just acted dumb, and the chap just got me to sign a waiver and I was on my way. Upgraded too
bonnie lass:
Everytime I put in my password it rejects it
I re applied for a new password after a lengthy time lapse only to have it rejected again!!

Thought it was national insurance number driving licence number then post code. That then gets you onto a screen to see your details . You then ask for a code that allows you to give a one time access to the details for licence check .
You must be doing something wrong somewhere
