The way I understand it you now have a provisional for C1E so you can email DVLA and get the following entitlements
C1, C1+E, C, C+E
To get the additional provisional entitlements added to your licence, email DVLA your:
full name
date of birth
driving licence number
Email: extraprovisional@dvla.gov.uk
You need to print off the original email and they automated reply as a C+E provisional.

I’ve had c1e for years and use to drive them as I passed my car test in 93

The information I have posted is useful to other drivers who may read this thread, who may not know of this facility, that is why I bothered to put the link up.

So it’s exactly the same as before you sent it.
You’ll have to get in touch to see why they didn’t give you C. Not sure if @Pete S can help you?

I’ve had to email as when I phoned i got the usual bull about experiencing high volume of calls
Something seems really messed up. He’s entitled to drive D1 (and D1E), and at the same time has provisional entitlement also for D1 ?!
Both can not be true.
No not yet
I’ve emailed and got no reply so it looks like I’m going to have to write and send my licence back to them
Also tried phoning but always get the sortu but were extremely busy
