I hate to rub salt in the wounds of those who sent their license and medicals back to DVLA (D2 &D4) but I sent mine Tuesday last week and it arrived today so an amazing 4 day turnaround…immediately got Theory and Hasard test booked but no appts until 3rd Oct…testing centre must be busy.
I hope others get there’s very soon but I cannot understand the story from dvla in past post about 18,000 applications waiting…
Just for information purposes I’m the same as space1999 although mine was sent on a Friday and received back 7 days later.
Sounds like they might be trying to fob you off or it could just be i was very lucky.

My medical will expire on Tuesday, as it’s valid for 4 months apparently and haven’t received the provisional licence yet. Do they look at the medical when they receive the forms or whenever they start dealing with the application?
If it had been 4 months i would be ringing and seeing what the problem is !

It hasn’t been 4 months. I did medical a while back and took time sending it off.
Got mine this morning, I think I waited 10 days.
I have checked the online thing with the DVLA and I have had my class 2 added, just waiting for it back.
I know from when I sent my license with my medical, it arrived back a few days afterwards, a turnaround of a week, so fingers crossed!
Just a little update. I rang them today and a bloke in the medical department said that my application had been flagged which can happen by even the most innocuous note left by the doctor. They said that as of today they are seeing to applications received to them on the 7th of July. So I am probably looking at another three plus weeks wait.

I feel your pain mate mine took months to come back. That was last year

hang in there though.
So you should be able to book your theory tests now. Give it a go!

It`s ok I found it and it looks like my provisional entitlement has been added today 
Wonder how long it will take for it to come back ?!
Give it 3 or 4 days. But you should be able to book your theory tests in the meantime.

My brother sent his off on the 5th Sept, and it’s back today. So as said it seems to be medical that is holding people up.
