Dvla - Get with the times!

Foxstein:
when my photo needed updating did it all at the PO, they took my photo with their machine and its digitally sent to dvla and I paid by card and they sent it all of for me. p.s. only certain PO’s do this service

That is correct, but the PO who do it are on the website, just put in your postcode, it tells you the nearest ones, their opening hours and costs.

My local main post office does passport renewals, driving licences and bus pass photos all in house and on line.

The paper licence is an antique, i have never been asked for this to be inspected while driving in Europe, even if i show the police the bad quality cheap paper part they do not know what it is.
Why can`t all the driver details be on the driver card, i have heard they may get rid of the paper licence, you only have to look at it and it falls apart and tears very easily.
They must have bought the paper in Lidls.
