Dutch cpc

Daz1970:
Calm down chaps…neither the Dutch or Germans have ‘postponed’ anything - both Nations just started DCPC later than the UK, as is their right under the EU Directive. They still have to do the 35 hours training within the 5 years (at the latest) 2011 - 2016 and so on and so on… We, along with other EU Member states chose to implement the Directive earlier 2009 - 2014 (or 2008 - 2013 for PCV licence holders). That is all!!!

Repeat - nothing has been “postponed” or cancelled!!!

As explained in my post. Thank you for agreeing with me.

Oh bugger!! I better think about getting it. What happens after September if I don’t have the needed 35 hours for DCPC? as at the moment I have a job where I don’t require it but want to have my entitlement to drive HGV’s as a kind of insurance policy(job wise). Is it just a case of getting 35 hours when I need to and will be good to go or will there be extra hoops to jump through to get it?? I have been on the phone to DSA to get a response but after hanging on the phone for over an hour each time I have given up.

your entitlement to drive will still be valid, the only thing you will not be able to do is drive commercially until you have completed your 35hrs training. and that is it.
If a company did allow you to drive without it, they will be liable to a fine and a trip infront of the traffic commissioner with the possibility of revoke of their operators licence, and you will be liable to a fine of I think a £1000. So no sensible company is going to let you drive without it :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

Cheers Wildfire, I thought that was the case but have learned over the years never to assume anything when it comes to the DVLA,DSA,VOSA etc… :unamused:

‘…I hope it does get put back…’

Well, I hope that the DCPC gets democratically scrutinised by patriotic UK transport professionals serving the UK’s needs to effect UK efficiency first.

Rather that than weakly waiting a few months to eventually subordinate our fast disolving nation-state to the obnoxious and ill-serving EU, DCPC diktat that is being force-fed to us foie gras ducks by grey, faceless and unelected, uber-liberal creeps in Brussels/Strasbourg and their Lib-Lab-Conster pee-boys in Westminster

Good luck with that :open_mouth:
