dutch companys

They are looking for drivers to be away for up to 3 weeks at a time,as well as day drivers, night drivers and husband & wife teams.

Will they supply the wife or do you have to bring your own?

Up to you Neil, take your own or someone elseโ€™s,maybe you could swap her for another one too

Right

Having worked mainly for Dutch or Dutch owned companies for the last 20+ years it may be time to reveal a few of the truths :smiling_imp: ร‚ยด

Dutch wages used to be higher than Brit wages but this no longer always the case as they have many ways of ducking and diving under the nationally agreed wage rates.

Many of the larger companies are restricting their drivers to a 40 hour week while still complaining about driver shortages.

A Dutch company may expect you to go a bit over the top regards hours occasionally as they tend to have a rather cavalier attitude and as under Dutch law the company is responsible for the payment of any fines incurred and Holland as of yet does not have a points system on driving licences most drivers have no great problems with it, This tendency is beginning to change with the introduction of digital tachographs.

Some Dutch companys have good kit but many also have bad kit especially if trailers are regularly changed.

Preventative maintenance does not exist in the Dutch Transport world and they will expect you to keep going till it gives up the ghost in a cloud of smoke at the side of the road.

Icelandic in another blog you said you had worked for Visbeen for 3 weeks. So how come your asking about dutch companies and visbeen if you have already worked for them?! :open_mouth:

If you can get hold of a Turkish Passport, you could give Rynarts a try( the yellow Rynarts) Jan de Lely used to be a good firm, did a lot of Morroco.

Try Jan De Rijk janderijk.com/sam/index.php? โ€ฆ pl=company

And ask to MR A.van Gorp
