I’ve requested dates for April, just waiting on confirmation from the training company, which means I’ll be doing my training on my birthday (11th of April) that week. 
Can’t wait, its an artic I will be training in. Loved the driving assesment. Tried a reverse which wasn’t very good, started off good then the trailer ran away from me, its really hard to get your head around. Thats what the training is for though.
Will you be looking for CE work now or sticking with the rigid for the mo?

well you know my experience with reversing 
it does come good in the end you just gotta get that opposite turn on the wheel to come natuaral in ya head so as soon as see trailer in mirror to straighten up turn towards it sounds dead easy when you say it eh , what helped me understand was correcting mistakes so went forward and back in straight line then but a kink in trailer and then got it straight again, eventually it clicked in me head and i promise you it is now natural to be able to put that trailer where i want it dont even have to think about it now honest!
as for work im hoping that agency might be able to get me some work on class 1 but im in no hurry as i enjoy what i do now so will be still doing my class 2 work as well as just love to drive, the place I work at now run W&D and artic so they know me and u never know when one of the drivers is off they may give me a chance and at least i have had training on both so fingers crossed just hope its not a run into London for the first one lol

Im going to be studying You Tube videos of artics reversing and drum it into my head before my training starts lol. 
It would be the best birthday pressie ever if I passed that first time.

The YouTube vids give you an idea. I have never seen a good one with drivers perspective. This is an important thing to get in the beginning. React to what you see in the mirrors.

It’s a great feeling knowing you never have to do that test again.
Two minors it must have been a great drive! You will be grining for weeks now

The other piece of advice I would give is but or acquire a toy lorry & practise on the floor ( if a young child is available 1 of those floor road rugs may be of use ) & practise reversing on that

That’s a good idea Animal thanks. I have an irt lorry that I bought at Truckfest, not even opened out the packaging yet. Might get hold of an RC one and try that.

Accuracy = 47% 2nd try = 88%
Time elapsed = 25s 2nd try = 18
Score = 361 2nd try = 940
Guess i need more practice, not bad though after a few double, maybe tripple brandy’s should stop now too addictive me thinks controls all messed up though
