Never seen that before and it wasn’t pretty, about half didn’t make it…

Regularly get them crossing roads around here. Everyone just stops even though its the main road through the county.
Its a bit grim going over the A66 on a night time at the moment. Whilst the older rabbits have a bit of road sense the babies that have recently started to come out don’t and there’s a fair few fresh small corpses spread over the road every night.

Better start one for you too, i feel sad since clearly something went wrong in your life…
Mentioned before, rush hour westbound M62 and mother duck decides to cross with ducklings in tow. All three lanes stopped and a lady in an 18 tonne scooped them up into a box.

I knew someone would mention dinner . No, I think she’d emptied her straps out of it.

I saw similar once, cars swerving all over the place, duck with trail of ducklings in the middle lane and a few splats
A lorry driver told me he slammed the brakes on to avoid some ducklings crossing the motorway, I thought it was very irresponsible and he shouldn’t have risked an accident for that
Caring about animals, particularly when young so they have a chance to thrive, is part of what makes this country still a great place to live.
We make special efforts for ducklings, they always follow their mother regardless so if one gets hit chances are it will be all of them.
Life isn’t like in older American films (thank goodness) where trucks don’t have brakes only a very loud horn
