All, I realise that this has probably already been covered but could I ask again.
If I work 11 hours one day and 10.5 hours the next it is my understanding that all I’m allowed to work for the rest of the week is days of no more than 9 hours. The people I currently work for seem to be trying to do as much as possible with as few drivers as possible and as tomorrow is Christmas Eve the last thing that I want is to be somewhere in Dorset with 2 hours to drive back to the depot.

Thanks, Paul
you could work…
Sat & Sun off
Mon - work 15 hours followed by 9 hours off
Tue - work 15 hours followed by 9 hours off
Wed - work 15 hours followed by 9 hours off
Thu - work 13 hours followed by 11 hours off
Fri - work 13 hours followed by 11 hours off
An average of 48 hours is required over a fixed period of 17 weeks or longer if by agreement for the WTD but only driving & other work counts towards it.
It is the daily rest between work periods in every 24 period that are the limiting factor on what you can actually work in any one shift - as well as the required breaks during the work shift to comply with the EU driving regs and the WTD
and now I’ll see if I got this right as a site tacho guru will be along soon and i’ll get shot if wrong
You can be atwork for a maximum of 13 hours per day, which can be extended to 15 hours three times per week.
This comes from the daily rest rule, which says you must have an 11 hour rest each day (24 - 11 leaves 13), which can be reduced to a 9 hour rest three times a week (24 - 9 leaves 15).
Driving rules say you shouldn’t drive for more than 9 hours per day,
but this can be extended to 10 hours driving twice a week.

Three times between weekly rest periods, not per week. You could do more than 3x9’s in a fixed week depending how your weekly rest period falls

thanks chaps for the info, my main thing is that I drive for the duration of the shift, being usually 10+ hours with breaks as required, but as a multi drop driver I suppose other factors come into play as I’m not constantly driving.
I must remember, between weekly rest periods.
