Driving without card.

Do any of you keep a record of when your wagon is moved without digi card, I.e when washing off on a weekend. Ok so I know technically it should be classed as work but whats difference between cleaning my car at home or cleaning wagon in the yard?!

the car is yours
The waggon is works

Sometimes it’s more convenient to keep a log book or diary of other duties as an owner operator rather than putting you card in to wash off or change a bulb ect you could do these other duties 9 hrs after finishing on the Friday night and have them done 45 hrs before you start Monday .

Take care with what you write down!

Unless you run abroad, where they can be very picky about this sort of thing, I don’t think there’s a problem with minor weekend movements around the yard. Certainly the Renault fitter doesn’t put a card in to drive mine in and out of the workshop, road test it etc, in fact I doubt he even has one.

Wagon is mine too mate! To wash a wagon can be just as much of a hobby as say cycling or fishing imo!

No, if they’re that ■■■■ when they turn up then F em.

In my experience they’d only have you for that type of thing if they suspected you were up to something else that they couldn’t prove so decide to put one in you for that instead.
