hi just a quicky i know that i can do every other Sunday driving as i work mon–fri days non driving but what is the chances of them checking if i work every Sunday very busy up to xmas any body else do it ?
I would have thought that as long as your ■■■■■■■■■■ hours don’t exceed the WTD maximum you can drive every Sunday. As a full time driver you can drive every Sunday, just as long as you get your weekend breaks in, I know I did, and didn’t get any grief
If I had a none driving job mon to fri I might well work on a sat and sun up to x mas, very unlikely you’d get found out unless involved in a major rta that might be worth investigating you. I obviously couldn’t say for sure but if I wanted the money I’d do it

If other job is not under EU regs the nit comes under normal WTD
EU regs driving comes under RTD
The two do not get added together
The mon to fri job counts as other work for EU regs so doing every day at the weekend will mean a very large fine if caught because they can charge a fine for EACH infringement which will be X amount of insufficient weekly rests - one for every weekend worked because not even a minimum weekly rest of 24 could be fitted into the fixed week

He won’t be getting a full 45hr continuous break in unless he works days during the week and does Sunday night and then he probably won’t get a daily rest period in before starting his main job on Monday morning.

Monday - Friday isn’t a driving job. From what i remember it not matter I would have thought. I’m might be wrong though I’ll wait for CF or Vince to come and shoot me down in flames
Every sat off with every sun driving as well as working mon to fri which is other work for the EU regs means that every other week there will be an infringement for insufficient weekly rest because a 45 is not taken
If the driver decides not to record the mon to fri work then that is going to be another infringement - perhaps one for each day not recorded
That’s the legality of it
The reality of being illegal and getting away with it … I do not know
thanks rog i know its illegal but so is doing 34 mph in a 30mph zone but most people do it!! the thing i want to to know is! do vosa check if they had to stop me and see i only drive one day a week ?

If stopped they will question you on that issue and then decide whether to check further from your response
If its a multi agency check then the DWP can access your tax records immediately so will know if you are lying about not doing another job - unless you get paid under the table
That’s the thing these days - just about everything done officially is on a database and usually easily accessable

If you want to run bent do it but you look thick asking on a open forum about it.of course they will run checks if pulled and if you you have a accident that the police investigate then your getting a fine larger than what you earned doing both jobs.keep your mouth shut and dont grass yourself in already
Every other weekend is ok as it will be the same as what a driver can do provided you don’t exceed fortnightly limits.
If you take a two day block off during the week at least every fortnight, then you are free to work every saturday & sunday, and poach all the higher pay as a result.
If you’re gonna do x number of hours, getting 2x15 of it on saturday and sunday won’t leave you needing much more during the weekdays anyways.
