Other truck drivers leaving you hanging in lane 2 after you have let them out. Three Stobart drivers have done it to me in the last week, not having a go at Stobarts just saying. Thing is it’s not just me it annoys, it’s everyone else on the road stuck behind me, but I suppose a bit of consideration is just too much to ask. And drivers wonder why nobody likes us.
Really boils my ■■■■ the lack of courtesy amongst truck drivers these days, too much “Im right, your wrong” and “I’m alright jack” attitude. It’s embarrassing. Lets just help each other out and be professional ffs.
You look in your mirror on the motorway having just passed the 200m marker… It’s coning down from 3 to 1 lane, and some bugger half a mile behind you is toeing it to try and get past you at the very last second…
It gets my goat when they MAKE it, forcing you to brake just as the last bit of cone-in occurs.
I’ve seen more than one not make it though, and plough through the cones, or otherwise spin off. Hehe!
Pet hate when I’m in my car rather than at work?
Pottering along some country lane in the middle of the night on the way home, and some white van with number plates that start like HNO3 (nitric acid!) decides he’s going to drive right up my arse all the way through 8 miles of 6’6" lanes through the quiet villages…
coffee,time,mart:
Driving through motorway roadworks 50mph zone and folk slowing down to 40 for the camera.I mean, whats all that about.
Johnny foreigner doesn’t understand “Miles” per hour… He’s slowed to 50 KmH which of course is 37 mph…
Not all foreigners are driving Baltic state numberplated cars… There’s plenty of UK plate old wrecks manned by the strazvitye brigade as well.
Have you noticed (and this isn’t being sexist, just an observation), that women rarely say thanks for you letting them out of turnings etc. I’m convinced they see it as an affront to their right to be on the roads or something ( ) I find men (on the whole) do say thanks with a wave or nod, except perhaps some drivers from abroad.
I really hate it when people stop on the approach to roundabouts when it is obviously clear
People driving with front fog lights on; they’re crap at lighting the road so why bother? I’ve never owned a car with decent standard fog lights so don’t really bother with them.
I don’t necessarily mind old people (I can think of three elderly men with very heavy right feet!), its the ones who tootle along without being concerned with whats behind em.
Finally, people who pull out in front of you on an obviously otherwise deserted road, where you then have to slow down
Car drivers that have a peep hole in a snow or ice covered windscreen and five feet of snow on the roof.
Cars that can see the dual carriagway is merging in to a single carriagway and there is stationary or slow traffic but they barge past.
The A303 around Ilminster and Stonhenge is always happening there.
The school run.Dumping it anywhere.Double yellows.Causing chaos and gridlock.
Drivers too scared to use the hard shoulder when the signs say you can.
Passengers on the back seats asleep not wearing seat belts.
Not using lanes. They sit in a congested lane when there are empty ones to use.
Doodlers that tootle along in a dream world unaware of what is going on around them.
Trucks that are limited below 56 mph. They are dangerous and who allowed them to do this.
Cars braking when they see a HATO vehicle. Why?
The ones that are poodling along until they see you pull out to overtake, then they speed up. The drivers you know are desperate to let someone out of a junction to prove they are "good " drivers. Truckers that seem to ignore you flashing them in as they sit in the middle lane for a good 100mtrs past you, what are they waiting for?
Those joining from a slip have never bothered me, it’s a give way for them not me, I’ve left a few driving on the hard shoulder because they cannot make a decision.
I get a little frustrated by the actions of other road users, But i don’t get too wound up about any of it. I’d probably be more annoyed with myself for failing to see it coming.
It’s my job to be one step ahead of them, I should know what they’re going to do before they do. There have been hundreds of times that fatal accidents could have occured if i hadn’t foreseen someone elses actions.
It would be a good idea if traffic camera footage was used to educate people, Not prosecute, Just educate them.
They could be shown what they did and what the lorry driver did a few moments earlier because he knew what they were going to do.
Any vehicle that is not a Lgv driving in to the Lgv parking area at the Msa looking lost and confused. If the sign is not big enough, are they safe to be on the road.
Holuday makers with ckearly over loaded vehicles or trailers. The back end is an inch off the tarmac and it looks like the wheels are going to fall off.Lgv drivers get nicked for being over weight but not the tourists with the house contents for one week away.
Anybody ever heard about adjusting your driving to suit others.
In other words be a professional driver.
All this hatred coming from a group of drivers that came 2nd equal for the worst drivers on the road.
Notice how tailgating is not mentioned.I wonder why?

This prompted my putting this thread up. Fing Audi drivers
people in cars trying to join the motorway, expect you to move over all the time to let them in, then when you don’t, come along side you give some abuse then shoot off at 80 mph, why don’t they do that in the first place, plus car drivers with only one headlight. used to do house deliveries in a 17 ton box van, and the times that i had to sqeeze between two parked cars, and when you got passed, they always came out to see if you’ve marked there car.
Agree with the post about drivers just dying to let someone out more in front of them.
Cars with those stupid fish symbols on- Guaranteed to be way under the speed limit in perfect driving conditions.
Lorry drivers who do 38ish on scways then boot it so no lorries can overtake on a dual.
Missing or broken mirrors on cars or vans. Some have no mirrors or it will be passenger side or drivers side hanging off or no glass in it.Batman glasses for that one.
Drivers that use the motorways once a year and can be dangerous doing 45 mph.
