My partner works for a transport company in Stoke on Trent who run a few 18ts. He is currently short of a good class 2 driver.
The work is on a self employed basis and at the moment he doesnt have a full time position, but most weeks needs an additional driver for 3+ days a week, but hopefully this will grow to full time.
The runs are a mixture of multidropping, and single hitters. And all drivers are given variety, so one day will be working multidrop, the next doing a one / two hitter. The pay (IMO) is ok. Work is mostly during the day, and only very occasionally late delvieries (eg 20.00). There is very very rarely work at weekends.
