driving hrs!!?

hello there iam due to start doing some agency work on the milk tankers shortley however i have bin running on domestic hrs for the last 10yrs so am a bit out of touch with the new poa etc,i now the basics 4 and half hrs 45mins rest etc but for example, say i do a run 2 the dairy which takes about 3 and half hrs 2 get there,do i switch mode 2 rest or do i have 2 leave it on other work as once backed onto bay they connect pipes and unload and cip wash out which can take an hr or just over,so am sat there doing nowt but as soon as its empty/clean i have to move onto weighbridge and tare off thanks in advance!!

well from the way i see it once you are on the bay, so long as you take no part in the unloading and you are free to dispose of you time i.e go to sleep, read the paper or go and get rid of last nights kebab you can legally go onto break. someone is bound to say i am wrong but i use to when i did tanker work and never had any problems :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

you can reduce it 2 3 times a week in any 24 hour period, make sure you dont go over 90 in a fortnight

Does your milk tanker job fit into the exemption?

no,were on artic bulkers so were on tachos mate

If you get paid for breaks then do not use POA

POA can much up the driving time breaks on many digi tachos as the silly things thinks POA are breaks for driving time!!
