driving hours

just a question on the night work in the other job i do.

i see how it works when i do days work 4 days drive 2 days 2 days rest etc.

how would the night shifs work out work fri sat sun mon finsh tue morning can not drive that day.
so does that mean i can only drive the wed. thur fri rest start other job sat.

can one week be reduced rest.

Not quite true for a 4 on 4 off shift pattern plus 2 days driving under EU regs

Sat sun - off - week 1 rest
mon tue wed thu fri sat - work
sun mon - off - week 2 rest
tue wed thu fri sat sun - work
mon tue - off - week 3 rest
wed thu fri sat sun mon - work
tue wed - week 4 rest
thu fri sat sun mon tue - work
wed thu - week 5 rest
etc etc

This can go on for some many weeks and has a full weekly rest at the end of every set of 6 days/shifts

I am fairly sure that more driving days could be put into the mix above but I cannot remember if the other work days under the WTD count as part of the max 6 periods of 24 hours under the EU regs

this looks suspiciously like a Warburtons schedule

Example - finish tue 0600 - start driving tue 1500 = legal as 9 hours rest done

Yes they do - start the first of the 6 days at 2200 thu for your night shift job - do 4 nights - then 2 days for driving - finish at or before 2200 wed

As long as you can get the daily and weekly rests in then ok
You can have a reduced weekly rest every other week which may help fit in an extra driving shift
Remember the 6 X 24 hours period rule in the bit above

Have fun working it out
