Driving hours help

Iv just been told off my employer that I can go over my 15 spred to get a chilled load back to the depot I’m new to hgv driving but have drove psv for over 10 years and never heard of this is it true

Nope. 15 hours Max. Time for a night out

You shouldn’t really. But i would go over by 15 mins to get back if it suited me, then would do print out and write on back saying some crap that you went over duty time to get hi value load back lo depot

Your employer is trying to pull a fast one and hoping you fall for it.

Tell your employer to take a fupp to himself. Unless it suits you.

And this is the reality of the job, their only ■■■■■■■ interested in the rules when its quiet or when it suits them. Badly planned runs made up in the office then when it obviously doesn’t work out as they “planned” guess whos ■■■■■■■ fault it is…

Did they give this instruction/advice to you in writing, with the CPC holder signing it? The answer to that question is a good indication of both its legality & your TM’s competence.

I thought that at one time you were able to stretch things a little if you were carrying perishable goods or material that could set such as concrete or tarmac? Used to do it occasionally and just write the reason on the tacho disc, never had a problem doing it but didn’t make a habit of it! :sunglasses:

Pete.

nice 2 have you’re day planned over 15 hours. ive allways used those extra 2 hours into a 15 as my benefit, not the tm or planners. :unamused:
