Driving Ethics

Hi everyone I’m a fairly new HGV driver and really enjoying the job.
Few days ago a car in front of me swerved left and it’s tires hit the curb in M1(narrow lanes at works) and then the driver compensated with a sharp right turn and went over the line separating the lanes 1&2.fortunately there was no cars for him to crash into :open_mouth:
When I passed him a couple of miles down the road, what I saw was a zombie like man with head-phones on.
I didn’t think much about it until saw the pictures of the accident on m25 today, and realized how [zb] lucky we’ve all been.
So here comes my question: What are any rules that you go by that they don’t teach in driving schools?
What are absolute do and don’ts that you would want a newbie to know?
thanks

I would have no hesitation in ringing 999 and reporting the guy. Obviously, make sure you’re in a safe situation to make the call.
He’s clearly a danger to himself and other road users.

Pete

Unfortunately, as a professional driver, you’re going to have to get used to dealing with knob heads <<< That’s actually my dad’s words - since passing my test, I have discovered it’s true.
