Do I need to use my tacho card while I’m having a driving assessment? I’m looking for a new job and I found it difficult to set up an assessment date having a regular driving job at the moment (drivers hours etc.).

Almost definitely yes but speak nicely to the assessor and he may do you a favour and let you off using it, I certainly wouldn’t turn up without it.
Would have thought an assesment drive would be less than an hour,if your within your hours its your card to use where you want.
There has been plenty of posts on here about present employers asking why cards have been used out of their hours when they have been told its for an assesment drive somewhere else,only to offer better hours and conditions,they can’t stop you using your card or going for another job and trying to better yourself,even the TM who asks why you went somewhere else has done the same thing to get where they are now.
