Driving assessment question

Hi there

Iv got a driving assessment for a new job next week but I am working nightshift the night before. I finish work at 7 (start at 21:00 previous night) and the assessment is at 9:30. Am I right in saying I should be ok for driving/working hours as long as I dont go past 12 oclock midday? I’ll still be legal with regards to actual drive time as I only do around 5-6 per night and if I started at 9pm then that should give me until 12 before I hit the 15 hour mark. Also should I show the period between finishing work at 7 and starting the assessment drive at 9:30 as rest on a manual entry? Any help much appreciated.

I’d say yes, you should be fine as long as you are all done by noon (assuming you have a reduced rest available). The intervening 2.5 hours can be recorded as Rest using the manual entry procedure.

As above, perfectly legal. Don’t try to do the assessment without putting your card in, many places you go to will automatically fail your assessment.
