A ‘mate’ 
has been invited for a driving assessment with another firm, and thus has to use his DigiCard,
Is it just a case of go for it and hope for the best, if the job comes off happy days, if not be prepared to get abit of ■■■?

He gets to go on the ■■■■ over Xmas whilst his mate drives the current wagon?
The way I look at it, if you’re (mate) going for an assessment, then it’s because you want a change anyway.
Go for it.
Maybe VOSA or DVLA could have some kind of card for assessments that firms
can apply for and then give the driver a printout for their records.
Or you can fess up and just let him know that
his aint the only bowl too eat from.

I agree, what’s the problem? It is your drivers card. As long as it doesn’t break daily or weekly rest or daily driving time, crack on. It’s only gonna be an hour or so. It’s not like your doing a full shift somewhere else
