Right now in Mongolia with my truck and trailer, I am planning to drive back to europe through central Asia via Russia, Kazkhstan, Kirgiztan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Turkey, …
Would like to ask you for some advices. We are driving back with a TIR carnet, having visas up to Kirgistan.
On the route, did I need visas up to europe, or did I need to make them from country to country? Any experience on these countries / borders / routes with a TIR carnet (or just the truck)?
Thank you very much for any advice!
All the best and good roads
Yves

he’d already emailed me bullitt, although i couldn’t really help him much on visas as we almost always set off from UK with them already in our passports
he was the bloke who was so pleased to see 4 of our english blokes out in siberia last year that he screwed his foden round on the “hard” shoulder and promptly got stuck upto the axles - most embarrased he was! he’s done some great trips, much further than we’ve been with commercial goods - have a look at the website if not done already?
So good to see a Foden in such an adventurous enterprise. Shame it’s the famous old make’s last gasp, what wonderful publicity it would have been in the heyday.
I wonder what made them choose it, I know Foden is Paccar and Paccar owns Kenworth and the European agent for Kenworth is, or was, Frederici in Switzerland and the main man is Swiss - but…?
