Hi all
Has anyone got any experiences with the above agency, who also trade as Recruitability, Driverwise Logistics, Cellcom etc?
It’s run by a chap called David Allon. They’re always advertising on the Job centre website offering excellent rates of pay but I’ve had huge problems getting my money out of them and am still chasing up money from nearly 4 weeks ago now.
Am I the only one or has anyone else done work for them?

I’ve no experience of them so I can’t answer your question, but if you’re after a good agency in Leeds try DriverTemps (0113 2629999). I’ve worked for them for 9 months now and my Dad has worked for them for 6 months and neither of us have had a single problem with getting work or getting paid.

Ill just back up what Paul says above. If your after a good agency in Leeds try these guys. 
I’ve seen all the ads with david allon etc etc and it all looked a bit suspect to me so i stayed well clear 
You might find a clue HERE.
For a start up agency to have NOT included ‘Factoring’ in the original business plan is just plain folly.
My guess is that he has over-extended himself and, once again, does not have the money coming in to pay the drivers.

I too have had problems getting my money out of them.
yeah i havent worked for them but i was at macfarlanes 2 weeks ago and there was lads there moaning about not getting paid id keep well clear.

I have just appointed a solicitor to recover money which is owed to me by them. I would suggest you do the same Sworif, if you haven’t done so already.

All I can say is I have been instructed to collect funds from a recruitment agency and if all else fails ensure it’s wound up i.e. closed down and to ensure the director cannot run a business again. PM me

Here is a short extract… Just a quick observation…
My mobile has been ringing quite a lot this week and I have been working fairly regular through my Agency…
Any way a few months ago I was making the usual calls when I called one particular Agency…
The conversation went like this
February 2006
ME “hello do you have any work for a class 1 driver”
Him “Yeah loads can I call you back this afternoon I am in a meeting”
ME “Yeah no probs”
18 July 2006 1500
Daughter "Dad phone for you I don’t know who it is he asked me what they called you and can he speak to you "
ME"Hello can I help you"
HIM "Yeah it’s XXXX from XXXX agency can you be at XXXX for 1700 this afterrnoon .
Now usually there is at least a bit of foreplay when the agys ring but this bloke was going for a quick finish obviously
ME " Well for one thing I am not registered with you …I don;t know the rates…I have never met you…and I am working at the moment…
HIM …Tell me what hourly rate your on and I will beat it…we can sort the paperwork thing out later sometime.
Now I am not silly and have met some dodgy agency folks in my time,but here is a guy who is quite happy to send someone he has never met before or even had sight of a license be it LGV or Telly license to a client who by the way was one of the major supermarket players
On one last not I said…
ME"Its been months what happened to ringing back with the loads of work you had."
HIM “Well what with one thing and another Kevin (Not my name obviously forgotten) I never got round to it”
Needless to say I declined and just wonder how these folks get away with it[/b]

Not into paperwork or paying either by the sounds of it seen a battered ford Mondeo in Knottingley with DRIVERWISE in massive letters down the side this morning so he don’t mind having a high profile

I’m still waiting to hear back from CH Debt Recovery too, after I PM’d them a few days ago.
David Allon as also got his name alongside a company advertising as ADVANTAGE HAULAGE on the jobcentre plus site today.

Annoyingly, I’ve lost a vital bit of evidence - the copy of my signed time sheet.
