Driversexchange?

Do any of you agency bods use a website driver exchange or joined up? Seems to be a thing some agencies are using to manage their drivers marking availability that sort of thing.
Can’t help but wonder if they’d made it a bit more like facebook in that you’d have your personal profile that with you permission a number of agencies could see when you’re not available and only phone you when you’re available to work rather than 3 in the morning 20 minutes after you’ve gone to bed.

and there was me thinking it would be some ■■■■■■■■ about a vegetarian tree hugging gender neutral, non binary truckie with his/her/its clakkerbags cut off

I thought it was about Maoster.
Didn’t he announce before Christmas he was going Non Binary.

I think I need some new glasses … thought this was about ■■■ change … not that I have any interest in this subject

Looked into it in the past. It seems like a decent idea. However, I think you have to be a LTD company so that turned me away as I want to remain PAYE and avoid all the hassle

There is a driver that runs out of Southampton that is close to going for a ■■■ change but not sure plastering it over trucknet is the right thing to do…[emoji2369][emoji2369]

iirc it’s not the driver ■■■ change, it’s the Driver exchange, or DX for short.
Tbh I though the DX had died a death when Staffline took over Milestone (who set it up). As staffline’s version is called “the Staffline Universe” it’s the online portal used to manage their workers, ie you can set your availability, then they text you saying that they have a shift for you, you logon your account direct or via the link in the text and confirm the booking. The client has access to the portal and when you turn up on site they log you on start your shift, and at the end they book you off online. Earnings for that shift are available to view online almost straight away, so you can check for errors and keep a running total of wages.

I thought this was going to be about “how to jump the diversity queue” for getting that full time job offer? :stuck_out_tongue:

I first read this as ’ Driver ■■■ change’.

And there was me getting my hopes up!! Oh well.

My cab has been left open all week, door lock knackered…Have you sneaked in and took photos while I’ve been in the khazi?? :open_mouth:
How very dare you. :smiling_imp:

Definitely here because of the thread title, and 100% disappointed.

Clickbait :unamused:

Sorry if I disappointed you guys lol having logged in a few times I thought it was quite amusing when I misread the web domain myself… To be honest I think driversexchange is more interesting than DX anyway even though I’m not at all interested in being binary gender neutral or wanting to identify as a woman just because the queue to use the loos might be shorter…
I think it’s a shame that it’s another half baked idea sold to the agencies presumably to try to cut their costs, and if as I said it could be shared with other agencies could be quite useful, one could for instance have say three different agencies all knowing what hours (but not where) you worked so as to only phone you when you might be available to do a shift.
Often wonder why you get very little from them for ages then they all seem to want you in on a Friday afternoon for some reason…

I’m with Manpower and they have started to use Drivers Exchange, which I think is now called Joined Up ?

Originally Manpower lost a contract and I was put under pressure by the new contract holders, Staffline to sign up to DX. Turns out they were useless and I continued at Manpower, switching clients.

Fast forward a few months and Manpower started to use Joined up, but for only one of their clients as I understand, Royal Mail, which was a RM idea.

It seems to works fairly well for the most part but gives the client more power than without Joined Up, but it also lets them know what agency driver is allocated to which shift. Take photos of your timesheets so you always have proof in case someone in the office messes up the start and finish times on Joined Up.

I’m PAYE and use Joined up. Payroll is done completely separately to Joined Up as I understand. No other agency can see my details etc on Joined Up, so mine must be setup differently for one agency and one client only.

JoinedUp is the new improved version of DX or Driver Exchange

Whether you are PAYE or Ltd Co is irrelevant.
