Weekly report ! So far we have £389.94 in less than 4 weeks…great effort… I know there is more to come, from the Bikers club here in Brittany, and from the “Bottle Auction” at the Wheatsheaf in Shedfield later this month…Thanks for all the support…keep it coming lads…
Well, what a great success at the Wheatsheaf with the Southampton lads. An auction for a few bottles of spirits, plus a hat on the bar, plus some sponsorship, gave a grand total of £191…more that we could have hoped for…
The running total now stands at £721…a fantastic effort all around, and a truck load from the members on this site.!!!..
The run itself is next Sunday, the 9th…will post up photo’s of the girls at the start and finish of the run …the time in between, when they’re doing the hard bit, I’ll be supporting Richard, who will be supporting the bar…
Thanks again to EVERYONE who has donated and supported us…
Brilliant amount raised so far for such a worthy cause.
Still time to donate…every little helps.
Good luck on the day Liz and Angie. justgiving.com/Angela-Liz
The total now stands at an incredible £862, I recon this could reach the magic £1000 mark by the time it finishes, something we never dreamed about when this all started…
Angie and Richard arrived yesterday, ready for the run tomorrow…weather is looking good, should be an enjoyable day…
gazzer:
£30 for a litre of Soberano! Thank you Mick Hellawell. I’ll bring 2 next year!
Hi Gary Angie here with Dave and Liz - ready for tomorrow!! thank you again… although I cant see the attraction of Soberano - Dry Martini now that’s another subject!! hope all’s good with you - look out for the photos of two sweaty girlies tomorrow… ■■
Well, run done ! and it went perfectly…a great day, enjoyed by everyone of the estimated 7000 people that took part. The weather was perfect for running, although a little overcast and chilly for the spectators !! But,it was warm in the bar, which Richard and I helped to support. The girls ran all the way together, and did a credible 33.32 min time, excellent considering the amount of people there.
We were there at the start, and finish with the camera’s, so here are a few photo’s…
Waiting for the warm-up to start :-

Let’s go home :-
The total now stands at £892, thanks to EVERYONE who has supported us, fantastic effort from this site…
A few weeks now since the run took place, donations still coming in. It’s now at £937.00. When we considered that we might make £250, then £937 is fantastic, and a huge amount of that has come from this site, including the Southampton lads, and the auction at their annual get together.
Because of the way the site was set up, it means that the Rowans Hospice already has the money, and it will have been spent looking after those that desperately need it… Once again, thank you to everyone that supported us and donated, really appreciated.
