Drivers Uniform

Been awhile since i posted. I see not much has changed, the bitter and twisted are still bitter and twisted. Oh well, i was wondering what you provide for new start drivers as a minimum in terms of uniform and P.P.E.

Much appreciated.

I’ve never done a job where I had to wear a uniform, and I never would. The job is crap enough without people telling me what clothes I have to wear.

A hi-viz.

Shorts, T shirt and flip flops or crocs.
Shirt, tie, trousers, jacket with logo, steelies and hi viz…nah…

And a Aldi or Lidl bag of course.

Being serious boots, polo shirts, hi vis, trousers and a jacket.

Jacket, boots, polo shirts, ppe all supplied.
Trousers not, but that’s fine by me as they can not have a go at me for wearing shorts 4 months of the year, I can just say that I’ll wear wtf I like if I have to supply them.

I always change the works polo if I go into a truckstop cafe, or bar at night. Been stuck with a couple of knobs in the past from same co/other depot drivers, so at least if I’m incognito I can make a ‘knob head’ judgement before I introduce myself…or not.

aye used tae get bib n braces (scots drivers uniform in the day) wae steel toed hobnailed boots…then MK2 stobies uniform from early 90s short sleeve shirts, jumpers, puffa jackets ,clip/do up tie. jacket/trousers. ,then back tae bib n brace /overalls wae hi viz , engineer toe caps. …then Canada hi viz overalls supply own boots /gloves etc at your cost.

Company supply everything. Given an annual allowance, you choose what you want up to that value. Hi Viz vest and gloves unlimited supply on a new for old basis.
