Somebody took it upon themselves to wrench all the cig lighter sockets out of the DAF I was using one weekend.
The truck was due to go back soon, but it was still being used, mostly by me, away tramping all week. I know back in the good old days trucks didn’t have power sockets, but I was a bit miffed at the prospect of being away all week with no power. That means can’t charge phone, can’t use satnav, can’t entertain myself in the evening.
I asked around a few drivers, to see if they had any spares, found one guy who “thought he might” sure enough the exact bit I needed was at the front of his top locker for immediate access. 
But not being able to prove a thing, I had to act like he was doing me the worlds biggest favour.
I lost all faith in the drivers at this new place in that moment, I wont be leaving a single thing in trucks between shifts now. I just cannot trust that it won’t be nicked.
We are our own worst enemy, and whilst a single driver is still carrying on like an idiot, we are all going to have to put up with being treated like children.
