somebody think of the children
my nephew had his peugeot 206 broken into and they stole his entire glovebox compartment
left the stereo, documents, and tools, just took half the dash board
Norman Lewis had a thing about Romanians, in fact it was almost a sacking offence if he caught you parked up with your lift axle up as âRomaniansâ will pinch the wheels
It probably happened to him onceâŚ
Parked up in the stockyard last night. When doing checks in morning noticed that some theiving â â â â had stolen battery cover of the motor. This could only have happened when paying for parking or at silly oâclock in the morning. Has this happened to anybody else ?
quite sure they have cameras at the stockyard have them checked
john
i parked up at bothwell services years ago, used to do change overs for grampian maclennans, woke up next morning, done a walk round and both rear light lenses on unit been unscrewedâŚun real
Battery box covers do have a habit of flying off on the motorway, are you sure it was there when you parked up? Trevor is normally on the prowl during the night looking for beer money
Not sure about the cameras except around his house and plant.

It reminds me (dont know why) of the people who steal clothes off washing lines!

At least if they are on the washing line they must be clean, anybody who has done 17 weeks away in a lorry cab occasionally gets short of gear

It would never have happened to a 141 with the wing nuts and lock wire
My old man had his back light lens nicked when he went for a â â â â â on rownhams services. Asked the chap next to him if heâd seen anything as he was there when my old man parked up,of course heâd seen nothing, probably in his cab but of course couldnât prove anything. Some drivers are their worst enemy, just look at state pod showers with things missing,Iâm expecting to go in a shower soon and find the showers been pinched lol!!!
Seen quite a few threads about this on here, mudguard wings , lenses , bulbs , electrical susies , wheel nut covers. Bloody terrible
Thats exactly what happened at the Alton Towers drivers rest room years ago. They replaced the shower at least once before giving up on itâŚ
Bizarre actions like this happen all the time.
Iâve had my fuel tanks dipped over the years. Iâd rather they nicked the fuel than damage the vehicle so no locks on the filler caps.
Worst thing I saw was one of them spike devices with a pipe up it, whacked into the tank and its drained to the bottom. You got a job getting to a pump to fill up when that happens!
one of mine was parked up for the night and had the trailer tail lamp lenses pinched, just the lenses, not the bulbs
Years ago it was a regular thing to carry spare lenses, most driver used to take them off when they dropped a trailer and fit them to the trailer they were taking.

RCL drivers from their manchester depot still remove the lenses from any trailer they drop and swap with
makes it a right ball ache when they send in a subby to collect the trailer and they do not have any lenses, they then proceed to remove them from BIFT trailers
whereâs the fun in buying stuff

when i was a box jockey,i always carried the 3 sets of light lenses(round, square and the flip up ones)cos box jockeys are the worlds worst for nickin lights, always left the bulbs tho if i ever parked up in felixstowe, tilbury or grain, they were always inside the cab with me
