This is where Culina Manchester expect you to sit you’d be pushed to 50cm separation never mind 2 metres point blank refused to sit in there pointed out the problem to the manager “Tough” was his reply.

Do you work for Culina, or were you tipping there? Disgraceful either way, but which way to go with this depends on your situation.

Is there really a genuine relevant reason for not being allowed to sit in your cab and wait for a green light.
I get it that drivers could pull off the bay, I’m also aware that some drivers have handed in dodgy keys in the past, but surely a belt and braces policy of keys handed in, wheels chocked up, with red line off and/or a suzie lock would sort the problem and make delivering to these crap holes a more comfortable and restful experience for drivers.
Although they’ll never admit it, I personally believe in a lot of cases (not all) it’s jealousy. They know you’ll be getting paid to have a nice cosy sleep for 4 hours with the night heater running to keep you toasty. Can’t be having that, can we, so in you come where we can blast you with Sky News at full chat for 4 hours where there’s not a chance of you having any peace and quiet or relaxation time.
Had a driver walk into the waiting room at Tesco Teesport today wearing a surgical mask and once he sat down he had a rather chesty cough!
When you book in there now, they’ll ask you questions over the intercom on wether you have visited any of the worst COVID-19 affected countries (Italy, France, etc) since the 8th March, or if anybody in their family has shown any symptoms or tested positive for the virus.
I’m back in there tomorrow, so I think that I’ll sitting in my cab whilst they tip (away from the wheel of course)!

At least he’s thinking of others and being considerate. Most drivers would just cough and sneeze all over the place without giving a ■■■■ about anyone else.

Was loading as a subbie for them stood outside for the hour it took for them to load me. Complained to Culina via their facebook page as no other way of contacting them and the reply was “if you uncouple the unit from the trailer then you can remain in your cab as this is company policy” but no explanation from them as to why this wasn’t in place in Manchester.

A bigger audience may well possibly shame the ■■■■■■■■ into changing the current policy of sheep pens for drivers.
