Drivers negligence laws or insurance purposes?

So, i`m now into my 3rd month and doing really well, Although i drive 7.5tonners and we double man, which can sometimes be a real pain because i occasionally get put with some right muppets that cant do the job right…OR DRIVE SENSIBLY!!! :open_mouth:

The other week, i got back into the office and the TM asked if id like to a class 2 run upto warrington warehouse? "Do you need to ask? id love too!"
I was thinking it would be good experience to drive something bigger and that i`d be on my own! Wouldnt have to make conversation to a monkey!! :smiley:
Anyways, as it turns out, he had a word with the agency to let them know what i would be doing and “apparently”, they said that i wasnt allowed to go because, something to do with drivers neglegence laws or something.

My question is: What do any of you know about this? is this true? Or is it down to insurance puproses?..or is it just a load of [ZB]? :imp:

Sounds like a load of bull to me, it’s more likely because they think they won’t get their 2 pennorth out of the job if their customer deals direct with you.
