Been looking at the list on here for places that do medicals, the nearest one to me on that list is ‘Whitley Bay’ when its actually nearer Cramlington/Blyth which is 30.7 miles each way, been told by a few people they got a medical in Washington for £40 (and not by Doctors on wheels) but never been given a place name.
Anyone know of it?
There is 1 in Millfeild in Sunderland which is closer but not sure which 1 as I used my own Dr
Is this for a first medical or a medical renewal ?
If it is 1st then try the training provider as know Tyne & Wear LGV will do it for £40 ish they also provide training material for you also think TTSat Kinston Park do the same
It is the first medical yes, also I found a place called Twinway (office in Ferryhill training depot in Darlington) that works out nearly £80 cheaper than Tyne and Wear.
I phoned my local doctors and they said ‘around £100’ which will most likely be £120, could get 3 medicals elsewhere for that!
p.s I live in Coxhoe so Sunderland/Washington is six and two threes for me, even Newcastle or Gateshead if there are places cheap enough there, or Hartlepool, Peterlee, Darlington…
Tyne & Wear charge £40 for medical or they did about 5 years ago my Dr charged me £100 for mine but went through it proberly took nearly 1 hr
