Somehow I don’t think you’ll be able to lay the blame on agency drivers for this one.

Hardly surprising there are so many overnight lorry bans now. Own worst enemy and all that.
Why there is need for such practices is beyond me.
I could be wrong,as things may have changed,but there used to be a Lorry Park I used to use regularly every week,at the back of Sainsbury`s in Stafford town centre with Toilet facilities.
A34 turn right towards Stafford over the roundabout at Eccleshall Rd next roundabout turn right Lorry Park on the right,or it used to be.
Last time i looked every single human being had to go to the toilet, being sub human (yet superhuman when required to do the impossible) lorry drivers are not recognised as being part of the human race, unless it suits ulterior motives like certain politicians suddenly worried about the fate of drivers passing through the Calais straits.
In that article councillor Ray Sutherland does realise the drivers have no facilities, he should be promoted to the top echelons of government because he alone states the obvious which is beyond the wit of most.
Its not just a problem for Stafford, nor lorry drivers on their own, the lack of public conveniences is nothing short of a national disgrace and one of many reasons why we seldom use any town centres any more and shop increasingly online, they want your money and they expect the local McDonalds or similar to provide toilet facilities.
No, lorry drivers don’t need to chuck bottles of lucozade into the hedge, thats wrong too.
I don’t have any problems with ■■■■■■■ in a bottle, but why the hell not pour the contents down the grid and bin the bottle?

Joking apart there is a Brewers fayre pub less than a minutes walk if people wanted a dump why not just walk to it?

Its the same as people throwing rubbish out on the motorway etc. Why can’t people use a carrier bag in the cab for rubbish untill they are by a bin.
Drivers ■■■■■■■ on building sites annoy me. Even the smallest sites including house extensions have portaloos but the most pig ignorant still ■■■■ beside their vehicles.
Never had to ■■■■ in a bottle (except at doctors) or ■■■■ in a bag or hedge so why other drivers need to is beyond me. If you can’t factor in a toilet stop you shouldn’t be trusted with driving any motor vehicle.

What about when you want to use the toilet in the early hours of the morning, maybe just before you start work?
And really is it only acceptable to use a toilet in a pub or restaurant if you’re using the facilities?
The real problem is lack of facilities, but it appears unlike many places the Stafford is one of the few places that still has a Council Lorry Park, just it’s not near the motorway exits where they’ve built the large industrial estates.
I don’t believe it , 8 posts on drivers leaving a mess and no mention of foreign drivers by the 'I hate Johnny Foreigner, crew. . time yet I suppose.
It’s dirty ■■■■■■■■ like this that makes me ashamed to be a driver. If these socially inept ■■■■■■ reptiles need a ■■■■ so bad, wait to they get to the next msa.s in the morning, and if they are so incapable of controlling their bodily functions, at least take a ■■■■ in their trailers in a ■■■■■■ bag, and dispose of it later in a bin ffs. and why chuck ■■■■ bottles out of the window. What kind of upbringing have these tossers had . I know a lot of drivers are uneducated and rough as a bear’s arse, but ffs, what chance have the decent ones among us got having to work alongside these ■■■■■■ morons.
I know there is a park at Doxey rd Stafford, but this is why most town truck parks have disappeared over the years because of arse holes like them giving the councils the ammo and excuse they are looking for to drive us all into ■■■■■■ , lay bys, and they are too pig- ■■■■ thick to see this.

Maybe with so many ex SAS and special forces who now drive trucks, old habits are hard to get rid of.

Which is probably one of the many reasons why truck drivers are treated with contempt in the Uk. Out here in Euro land where I am now its a completely different story. Clean services, clean truck stops and respect from companies and the public probability because drivers tend not to behave like dirt bags. It’s a UK trait.God I feel better for that

That’s the lay-by on the end of the A34 in the picture not on the industrial park like the paper makes out, looks like the usual cross purposes article and the councillor has found another band wagon to jump on, not condoning the filthy habits of the few though 
Its what always happens, you get a decent parking area, like that(I’m assuming its the bus’ park nr gate 14) and the moron’s jog in and spoil it. As has already been said, if you ■■■■ in a bottle at night, pour it down the kerbside drain in the morning, then dispose off the bottle later, if you need a crap, plan better. Not rocket science
Used to be able to park at Cross point just off gate 2 at Coventry, and there is a 24hr Tesco as you pull into the estate, no need what so ever to be dumping waste on the roadside, but still it happened, so they put a parking ban on that one
Same as Redhouse at Doncaster, that got treated as a toilet, now that has no parking on it

During operation stack on the M20 motorway lorry drivers try all sorts of ways to avoid parking on the M20. They park in lay-bys in Kentish villages and when stack is finished they drive to the port or tunnel leaving excrement, food wrappers and drinks bottles all over the surrounding area

Not having been in Op Stack Kent, I don’t know the full operating procedure, But Op Stack Suffolk, for when the Port of Felixstowe is shut, operates on a return pass procedure. As the police release you to go to the port, they hand you a pass card, you hand this in at the entry gate, no pass no entry. I would have assumed that Kent police do a similar thing for the M20, otherwise there would be no need to get into stack in the 1st place
