Drivers Hours Question

Please can someone settle an argument around hours. Can you or can’t you work these hours
Week 1 Mon to Sat day off Sun
Week 2 Mon to Sat day off Sun
Week 3 Mon to Fri day off Sat and Sun

Any help would be appreciated

Generally you would not be able to legally work those shifts, however it does depend on how much rest is taken at the weekends, generally you need to have a regular 45 hour weekly rest period at-least every second week.

There are circumstances when you can have reduced weekly rest periods in 2 consecutive weeks but there’s not enough information to say whether or not the example you’ve given is legal or not, in the right circumstances it is possible to do that as a one off but it could not be done legally on a regular basis.

Thanks Tachograph. I know I’m a bit vague with the hours but I just wanted it confirming that you can’t reduce your rest 2 weeks on the bounce.

Generally that is correct BUT it can often be done as a one off depending on previous weekly rest periods
