Drivers Hour Guard - Ministry praised it! (DaveyDriver)

qoute by davey driver:

Iโ€™ve heard from quite a few drivers that the ministry in Hull, Staffordshire and Carlisle dont bother checking all the Tacho Discs (In fact some dont even check them at all) when they see the Hour Guard on the Dash Board

maybe you could produce a sticker davey for the cab window

attention vosa: drivers hour gaurd on board ,so [zb] off and leave me alone

jon

A Sticker ? Then Vosa will hate me for obstructing the window Lol

The Orange / Clear / Lime Bar

This was originally a Light up Bar but drained the batteries

So we decided to make a better use of it, although still in developement stage, you will simply pick up the timer and point the timer at the VOSA officer walking towards you, Press all 5 Buttons together and 1 of 2 things will happen to him when the invisible Ray hits him.

  1. He will approach with a remarkable Sense of Humour and Say, Itโ€™s okay Drive Iโ€™m in a happy mood and dont want to delay you any longer so get on your way

  2. He will disappear into oblivion :smiling_imp:

Number 1 sounds the best, why should non users of the Hour Guard benefit :open_mouth:

In a nutshell though, itโ€™s only there now because the mould was made with the idea of it lighting up during the night for drivers to see the case.

Im still getting the hang of mine since Ive escaped the office and gone back out on the road

Easiest way is to follow the following instructions,

On a morning when starting your shift:

Press Daily Rest 3 seconds

Press Compen Info 3 times

Press and hold Search Info 3 seconds to let it carry out the calculations

Press Compen Info 2 Times and then your into the next days Drive time, if doing other work just press other work button until your ready to set off driving.

Does the same sequence apply for weekly rest?
Or is that sequence only apply to daily rest?

The sequence for ending either daily or weekly rest are both the same on the Split Shift version as it automatically detects the amount of rest taken and decides whether it qualifies as just daily or Weekly rest.

The only reason there are do moany button presses is because of the possibility of the 24hrs rest away from base, if that was abolished then everything would be straight forward with one simple press, we are looking at trying to find a way around that in the new software re-write though.
