Driver without licence stopped by Police

OVLOV JAY:
Could’ve lapsed, as I know the owner driver of that. He’s an old boy from Ashford, who pulls out of the grain, unless the motor has changed hands recently of course

I know him to and he ran legal so I would say it’s changed hands.
He only done local work didn’t want the long stuff.

Sure I saw this truck in a layby on A14 Eastbound this afternoon.

Dav1d:

green disc

Looks blue to me.

It is. Looks like truckyboy needs to wipe his glasses.

truckyboy:
So, those without glasses, i will reiterate…there is a picture of a Renault truck, with the caption Seized this today, driver had no licence so as theres no mention of what licence was required, thought i would mention a few, i did forget an ADR one, and i mentioned O because it is indeed a licence, for those that dont know what one looks like, its the green disc below the tax disc, and as stated in a later post, the same vehicle is being used to advertise the fact that a vehicle has been seized because of NO INSURANCE. but from a different police force.
So With or without Glasses, i can smell a rat a mile away

Maybe your speed reading or something. Theres no hazardous materials plate on display so I’d probably rule ADR out. It states the driver didn’t have a licence not the operator so I’d rule that out (it’s blue by the way) which leaves a couple of scenarios, photo or medical lapsed so although driver may have passed all required tests, his licence is invalid. He may have no licence at all (unkikely unless this is the firm CMH worked for)
Where has Essex police come from? It’s E.Sussex, that’s East Sussex. Nowhere has two different forces been mentioned. The only discrepancy is between the police feed from Twitter amd from Facebook, both updated by the same officers. One has said no licence, the other says no insurance. Its also possible it could be both.

Ha ha your a great bunch…just booked myself into Specsavers…and just heard i`ve got the sack from my part time job as a proof reader.

With this government who can blame him no licence cash in hand no tax or stamp way to go

With that attitude you should give it a go yourself. Cowboy unlicensed operators drive down the rates, meaning your boss screws your wages to compensate, until he eventually gives up. Where are you then? I don’t agree with this government and its policies regarding business, but wearing a stetson and spurs is not the answer. Cowboy operators are no good for anyone in the industry :unamused:
