Go for a little gas cooker and small pan instead, better than a 12v kettle. Get a couple of tins of broth or curry or something to stash away because if you do get snowed in you’ll want a bit more than chocolate bars.
What 10-08 said, but just pack warm clothes and wind up radio just in case. And maybe a book or some other entertainment on your ipad/iphone.
If you keep engine running or have a night heater you will keep slightly warm.
If the authorities see you stuck for more than a day they will take care of you anyway. Never once has there been a headline that says “Lorry driver dies of cold/starvation/dehydration in traffic jam”.
PS if you like to cook tins on a wee gas stove then stock up on sainsburys budget range of minced beef in gravy or irish stew. Cheap as chips and tastes quite good for budget range. No added sugar either.
Just a thought I’ve never tried… If your really tight on space maybe you could stash a set of thermals because with two sets on you should be quite toasty.
Warm dry clothes, socks especially. Nothing worse than being wet and cold.
Credit card , to pay for hotel / BB. we also dont do nights out, and i am not sleeping all night in a day cab.

Yeah socks are close to the top. I’m sitting here now with 3 top layers including a thermal top, but my feet are ■■■■■■ freezing
One of those folding shovels, put it width ways on your rucksack and almost fall on your arse when the door way into the drivers waiting room is narrower than your shovel.
A torch and a second mobile phone, pay as you go back up with a different service provider in case there is no signal if you get stuck.

That’s what I was just thinkin’, but I’m not as far North as you, but it’s really not that cold YET.
Been and put my snow tyres on the arse of the car today ready for the snow, and by time I was tightenin’ up the last nuts, I was sweating like a pig due to wearing a t-shirt, a sweater and a coat, coat ended up back in the car.
Southern softies
More water.
Considering the typical UK weather, of 2 weeks of sunshine, 2 weeks of snow, and 48 weeks of crappy weather. It’s hardly “hardship category” … MTFU a night heater or running the engine to survive the 9/11 hrs your parked up somewhere isn’t hard to do

More beer.

Wet wipes, everybody uses them

Looks like the resounding answer is a + key and a 1 key
What we need is Bear Grylls to come on here and give some arctic survival tips incase you get stuck on the M62 for 5 hours with only your 12 litre engine idling for warmth while the snow plow comes by to remove the one inch of snow thats caused national chaos.
You will either be dead from thirst or boredom while you wait for a 12v kettle to get warm! Better to get a 24v version or a small pan and gas cooker.
