I was wondering how long do you have to wait and a depot before they must give you a free meal, and what is this called? I’m sure I’ve heard this before but I’m not sure the aspects of it.

no such thing … but I think its more than 4 hours you must have access to food ie canteen or machine

They don’t have to give you a free meal, what you’ve heard is bull[zb].
Next time your at Tesco and 4 hrs have passed walk upto the goods in counter , knock on the window and demand your free meal, you wont get anywhere but it will keep the other inmates…sorry drivers… entertained

Just tell them you are leaving site to get a meal, they can’t stop you. We had vehicles at TK Maxx sites where we have instructed drivers to pull out only for security guards to try and stop them (saying they are just following orders). This is effectively kidnap and they always change their minds once you ask for their name to give to the Police as you need to report a crime.
Waiter comes round after four & a half hours to take your order, lap dancer brings it out to you and entertains while you eat.
you will have to wait for ever and a day , but they will give you plenty of free cold shoulder , all the bollox that you can eat served with pie in the sky , sounds good to me

Article 45/84 ,paragraph 1853, the driver receives a free ride in the Managing Directors private jet.
Section 5 to 35, the rules say that the driver must have a chauffered driven limosine to the nearest five star restaurant.
I think so long as there is access to some sort of vending machine these places are covered.
Always amused me how the one at Gadbrook doesn’t accept 50p pieces because the flip flops had been tricking the machine with some lower value foreign coin.

I’d been at a delivery for a couple off hours at one point this week, thought I could do with the Loo, so I nip into the receiving office, to find out the toilets were. I had to walk right back to the bloody gatehouse(glad I wasn’t desperate) and use the one there, which to fair was clean and tidy. still I had plenty off time to kill, 5 and half hours in total. Thought I’d give the free meal a miss for fear off being pointed in the direction off the nearest Maccy D’s.
