Evening all, I’m not sure if I’m in the right section for this question but hopefully somebody will be able to help me. I’m a bus driver at the minute and last week I managed to pass my cat C test, I have my mod 4 test this week coming then that’s my initial cpc for lgv sorted. However I’m not sure how it will work with my DQC card because I’ve already got one for working on the buses which expires in May of next year, and according to the DVLA website my next card will be issued in December as I’ve done my 35 hours training for the next five years. Not really sure how it will work when I’ve done the intitial cpc for lgv do I need to contact DVLA and explain the situation to them or will I get my new card early with my lgv entitlement on it? Any info greatly appreciated.

When you pass LGV mod 4 you will get issued a new DQC which will have both LGV & PCV expiring at the same time in December 2023 if they are still using the same system as they did 2 years ago
