I knew two drivers who were killed while checking ropes and straps, one was in a layby but still got struck on the head by the mirror of a passing truck.

One of our drivers was caught up in this, 8.17 hours in total he was ignition off.

RIP the caravan the delivery driver.

If a load spoils because of a delay then who is liable? I’m thinking of a loaded concrete mixer or livestock etc.
